Today we settled on a jeweler and a basic design (we were inspired by this ring, but you’ll have to wait until the wedding to see our version…) Our jeweler is K.C. Goldsmiths in Menlo Park. They come highly recommended by two other couples that have had their wedding bands. They were incredibly helpful in guiding us into a design concept that we like – and incredibly patient with us as we kept them two hours past their closing time. We thought the closed at 5:30 and they closed at 2:30, and we got there a little after 12:30 and left at 4:30!!!

This is the first stage of the rings: putting down a deposit, so they can order the gems to be put in the ring. Then they’ll call us in to talk about the setting, and create a wax version, and afterwards the ring will be made – all in time for the wedding.
